KDDI R&D Labs announced on Apr.13 that trough their investigation, 28.9% don't want recommend service.
The recommend service is what you experience, for example, at Amazon.com. Amazon collects your "personal" data such as browsing and purchase history and recommend you what you likely are interested in.
While 28.9% don't want, 37.6% of the 4,422 examinees want it.
I personally like the service as it reduces the risk to miss books that I have to read, but I thought there are more people dislike it as the service uses too deeply your personal favorites of from books to fashion.
From Web Analytics point of view, recommend service is considered and "proven" by recommend engine vendors as an effective way to increase conversion rate and/or average sales amount, but the web master should remember that 29% of all the visitor to your site never returns to you because of the recommend service you provide.
