Measuring Offline marketing by QR Code

The latest book of Avinash Kaushik, "Web Analytics 2.0" spares a chapter to the theme of 'Nonline Marketing', the world where Online and Offline Marketing mix.

I think the world is full of challenges so far. You shold create a key to connect, for example, the visitor who sees a content on your web site with the person who parchases a product in a real store.

Here I introduce one realistic technique for you to measure how many Online conversions your Offline Marketing activities such as magazine ads, newspaper ads and brochers can generate.

The technique, which is commonly used in Japan is Using QR Code.

- QR Code is a code contains text and numbers, usually URL and readable by movile phone cameras.

Only if you generate QR Code that contains URL of the landing page of your website, of course with THE QUERY PARAMETER to identify the Offline media, and print it on your magazine ads, you can not only guide the readers to your website but measure how many visits, Page Views and conversions are generated from the ad.

And to make a QR Code is free and easy.
Why don't you try this site.
